How Path works with Matterport
Path doesn't re-host or replace your Matterport tour. It sits on top of it.
Matterport keeps hosting your 3D model. Nothing gets re-scanned.
Path loads your model inside Path's tour page with Matterport's Showcase SDK, and puts the AI guide on top.
Path uses its own Matterport SDK key, so you don't need an API key or a connected Matterport account.
Path reads your Mattertags to find the rooms, then moves buyers from room to room as Ella talks.
Add Path to a Matterport tour in about two minutes
In Path, go to Properties > Create property > Full Path Experience > Link a 3D walkthrough.
Paste the public share link of your Matterport tour, such as my.matterport.com/show/?m=… A model URL or model ID also works. Path shows: Matterport detected.
Enter the property name and address. Then pick the AI agent buyers will meet: one of Path's agents or a voice clone from AI Clones. Website, phone and target audience (buyer, investor, renter or other) are optional.
Click Create 3D tour. Path loads your model, takes a snapshot at each Mattertag, names each space with AI and merges tags that sit in the same room. Then it builds the room order, questions and narration. This usually takes about a minute.
Share it. Every tour gets its own public link, and buyers don't need an account to open it. You can also embed the tour on your site as a chat widget, an inline iframe or a full-screen landing page. It works with WordPress, Webflow, Squarespace or custom code.
Scanned per floor, or has a detached building? Click Add another Matterport model for each one. Path combines them into one tour.
Few or no Mattertags? The model still imports. Path groups the scan points into rooms. If that doesn't work, it builds one space for the whole model.
Matterport and other 3D tours need Path+ or above.

What buyers can ask Ella
Buyers type a question or hold the mic to talk. Ella answers 24/7 in 42+ languages.
Take a guided tour: Ella walks them room by room and asks about intent, household, timeline and priorities. If the guided tour isn't ready yet in a buyer's language, they can explore in that language or take the guided tour in English.
Explore on their own: buyers move around freely and ask as they go.
Ask about the home: Ella answers from the custom instructions you add for the property.
Ask about the area: the nearest grocery store, schools, parks, gyms, transit or the airport. Path looks up places on Google within 5 km of the property's address.
See it on a map: Ella pins places on a map inside the tour. The map has satellite, 3D and Street View, plus walking and driving times from the property.
Where Ella's answers come from
Your custom instructions: add property facts and guidance at any time from the property's Update menu.
Nearby places, looked up on Google from the property's address.
A web search, when your own material doesn't cover a question.
Ella is instructed never to make things up or invent a number. Every tour also shows buyers this note: AI may provide inaccurate information. Verify important details.

Matterport's AI vs Path: different jobs
The Matterport column comes from Matterport's own website (its plans, Cortex AI, Property Intelligence and blog pages), read in September 2026. The Path column describes Path's product as of September 2026. Features and plans change, so check matterport.com for current details.
Matterport's AI builds the 3D model, measures and labels it, writes listing copy and drafts guided tours. Path's AI talks with buyers inside the tour. Path runs on your Matterport model, so you can use both.

Matterport: Property Intelligence automatically measures every wall, including ceiling heights. It labels more than 20 space types, and you can add custom names.
Path: Reads your Mattertags, or groups scan points into rooms, and names each space with AI to build the tour.
Listing copy
Matterport: AI-generated property descriptions with a choice of tone and length. On the Professional plan or higher, the Property Report can be imported into MLS.

Who hosts the 3D model
Matterport: Matterport. Tours need an active cloud subscription to stay live.
Path: Matterport still does. Path loads your model and adds the concierge on top.
Not on Matterport? Path works with what you have
Other 3D tours: paste a Realsee, Enviz or Marble link, or any other https link. Path embeds it and adds the AI guide. Automatic room detection works for Matterport only.
360° photos: upload one per space, and the AI names each room.
Listing photos: add your website. Path reads the site, pulls your photos and sorts them into spaces. That's Path Lite.
No tour yet: choose Have Path produce it. Path's team can shoot 360° photos on site or build 3D/CGI renders from your plans. Included with Path+.
You can start with photo tours on the 14-day Path Lite free trial. Matterport and other 3D tours need Path+ or above.

Matterport + Path FAQ
Straight answers for Matterport owners.
Do I keep my Matterport plan?
Yes, keep it. Path doesn't re-host or re-scan your tour. Matterport keeps hosting the 3D model, and Path loads it by its model ID whenever a buyer opens the tour. Matterport says tours need an active cloud subscription to stay live, so keep your Matterport subscription active and your share link public.
Do I need a Matterport API key or developer account?
No. Paste your public Matterport share link. Path loads the model with its own Matterport SDK key, so there's nothing for you to connect.
What if my model has few or no Mattertags?
It still imports. Path groups the scan points into rooms. If that doesn't work, it builds one space for the whole model, so buyers still get a narrated tour.
My property was scanned as several Matterport models. Does that work?
Yes. Click Add another Matterport model for each link, for example one per floor or one for a detached building. Path combines them into one tour.
Which Path plan do I need for Matterport?
Path+ or above. 360° and 3D tours, including Matterport, aren't available on Path Lite. The 14-day free trial is for Path Lite, which covers photo tours, so you can't use it to link a Matterport tour. Book a demo to see your Matterport tour with Path on top.
Where does the buyer data go?
It goes into your Path account. Your dashboard shows each visitor's contact details, conversation, conversion score and property insights. You can export visitors to CSV or sync them to HubSpot or Follow Up Boss. Path runs the service with third-party subprocessors, which are listed on its Subprocessors page. That page states that Path never sells personal data.
